Common Sense Media is dedicated to improving the lives of kids and families by providing the trustworthy information, education, and independent voice they need to thrive in a world of media and technology. We exist because our nation’s children spend more time with media and digital activities than they do with their families or in school, which profoundly impacts their social, emotional, and physical development. As a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization, we provide trustworthy information and tools, as well as an independent forum, so that families can have a choice and a voice about the media they consume.
Founded in 1999, Building Goodness Foundation (BGF) works to build community and improve lives. Their purpose is to bring together volunteers from every part of the construction industry to design and build structures for communities in need. Together with their partners, they use donations of time, money, materials, and expertise to build clinics, schools, community centers, and specialized housing for those who need them most, both in their own community and around the world.
10,000 Degrees is a nationally recognized nonprofit that has been helping underserved students get to and through college at unprecedented rates for over 30 years. All of students are from low-income backgrounds and over 90 percent of them will be the first in their families to attend college. With 18,500 alumni, 10,000 Degrees has provided $56 million in financial aid to students since 1981. Four-year college graduation rates of 10,000 Degrees students are 84%, versus nationwide rates of 54% for all students and 31% for low-income, first generation students.

Health insurance is not required and there are no fees for any services.
Human and Civil Rights
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Foundation is the arm of the ACLU that conducts litigation and communication efforts. The Foundation provides legal representation in cases involving issues of civil liberties and constitutional rights ranging from administrative hearings to trials and appeals. The ACLU Foundation preserves and promotes civil rights and liberties as guaranteed by the United States Constitution.
The mission of 4 Paws for Ability is to: enrich the lives of people with disabilities by the training and placement of service dogs to provide individuals with companionship and promote independent living; educate the public to accept the use of service dogs in public places; and assist with animal rescue whenever possible by obtaining many of our animals from shelters and rescue groups.
Founded in 2006, Happy Hearts Fund (HHF) rebuilds safe, resilient schools in areas impacted by natural disasters. We work during the gap period when children are forgotten after emergency response is complete, bringing hope and empowerment to generations of children and entire communities.
