Attack of The Blob: State scientists observing effects of warm water as well as warm air

No, the micro-organisms in the photo aren’t The Blob – that’s what scientists are calling a pool of warmer-than-normal water that’s enabling effects such as more-extensive-than-usual algae blooms.
